Welcome to Carsington and Hopton
Hello and welcome to Carsington and Hopton Church of England Primary School!
We are a small, happy village school in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. Our school is a place of warmth and care, where we, ‘Work hard and be kind!’
We deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, enabling our children to not only reach their potential academically, but also develop their confidence, independence and passion for learning. These skills are taught from Reception, right up until the end of Year 6, in preparation for Secondary School and beyond.
As well as learning in the classroom, our children love being outside, and particularly enjoy their Forest School sessions. Throughout the year, we ensure that all children have the opportunity attend a residential, as well as participate in sporting events and educational visits.
Being a small school, we pride ourselves in knowing our families so well. We believe our children are equally important and we encourage them to celebrate how special they are. As a church school, our Christian values play a significant role in our day-to-day life. Our strong relationship with the church is evident throughout the year, and we love having different visitors in to deliver our collective worships.
I am incredibly proud to lead as Head of School at Carsington and Hopton Church of England Primary School. It is a privilege, to work alongside our amazing staff team, parents, governors and the wider community as we strive to ensure our children are receiving the best possible education and experiences during their time at primary school.
Please take some time to explore our website to find out more about who we are and what we do. We love welcoming new and old friends to our school all year round, so if you would like to organise a visit, please contact us by phone or email. We look forward to meeting you and your family.
